899 for a replica?? Come on man. When I bought my GruppeM for my 330, it was 5xx shipped to me. The replicas were selling at 1-200. I just couldn't see myself spending 900 for a replica. I'd rather pay 1800 for the real GruppeM.

This intake is completely different than the previous one. It has four major components that completely replace the entire stock system. Your intake system will be CF.

The parts designs are extemely intricate, and rather complex. We are known for our prices, trust me when I say this is a fair cost. The original is exactly the same and cost TWICE AS MUCH!!

You cannot compare the prices of the old intake with the new, it's two completely different systems. But if our price which is extremely fair since we are not profit driven is too much for you, then you are more than welcome to buy the original and two times for the same product.

The GruppeM you bought for $500 was worth $1,000. The intake that you are buying for $899 is worth $1800. Its not so hard to do the math... let me see... 50% less in both cases!

I know $899 is a little high for an intake but so far GruppeM is the only company that has produced an intake for the E90/E92 with proven gains. The 325/330i intake produced 8whp on Technik's car. If this intake uses the SAME GM design and authentic K&N filter I`m all in! Finally an intake for the 335i!

Albert.

Hey Bav, do you have a dyno showing any type of gains with this new intake, i just cant justify spending $1000 on an intake if it doesnt do anything. Downpipes will cost around that price and make much more power. I think there will be more intake options in the next few months that will cost less money but for now it seems like you guys are raping cause the only other option is the Gruppe M for $1800.

Back when I had my E46 I was able to order from GruppeM NA on their website for $450 plus shipping. This was around 3 years ago, looks like their prices were adjusted just a little bit for inflation since then.

Need to see the dyno, but if the performance increase is significant, then I'm in.

Yet people dont mind spending twice that much for an exhaust when it produces the same increase(10-15hp average). Or are they paying for the sound too?

An intake that produces 15hp plus a PROcede, complete exhaust. Shit the last thing would be a downpipe and then you have to wait for a turbo kit to come out.

Sorry to say but everyone here bought BMW's. You're not going to find Ford prices for parts here.

Dang! that is SO cheap!!

I don't know what people are complaining about, this is half the price of the only 335 intake available. And uh...I agree with ArmyBimmerDude, did we buy BMW's or Honda's.

Bav count me in!!

guys its not the price that is an issue....its the fact that there will be small to NO gains maybe on a N/A car but on a 335 we have yet to see any gains or dynos to prove it.

ill pay 2000 bucks for an intake if it makes power...money isnt the issue...its paying for something that will do nothing for you.

On Audi's we actualy see a loss in power when adding any type of intake rather than stock.

Oh I agree with you. If it does absolutely nothing other than make my engine area look better, then screw it.

The reason I'm interested in it is because of their comment about installing the GruppeM intake in their 335 and saying "man oh man". That sounds to me like a significant difference. But this is all speculation until the hard facts are presented.

Make the damn thing out of fiberglass and sell it for a 'normal' intake price, and I bet you would get more customers. Just throwing an idea out there. I would like to see if sticking two filters on the end of each compressor inlet would have any gains so we could see if all of this bickering is worthwhile.

dude, no need for that
and read the forum rules, don't threadjack a seller's thread, the market dictates the price, if the price is set too high, it'll eventually come down. I know I've bit my tongue many times seeing the asking price of some of the threads, but if the price is too high, no one will buy it

My other car is a lexus not some pos ford.... I know what its like to pay for tastefully done mods...

I can see paying $1500 for an exhaust because theres actually r&d in that. perfect mandrel bends and such are worth paying for... but the same price for a few pieces of cf and an air filter? come on dude...
