Cobb Stage 2+ on the track

First timer on the track so please excuse the immigrant grandma driving skills. The car killed it in a straight line though.

Shout out to Rob for making a fantastic tune for this platform

It was a ton of fun. The name of the track is Driveway Austin.

We did time trials so one person on the track at a time x 3 laps.

Just the 3 inch downpipes and a dual straight through 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust I bought off ebay believe it or not.

What were your oil temps like? Probably not too bad with the combination of modest driving and the lack of straights on the track...but on a track with long straights you're likely not going to want to be on anythign other than 12psi...

Straight line power was awesome. I rode along for 3 laps

The power delivery is smooth and controllable. The only reason I could see to use a less aggressive map would be to keep oil temps in check

Nice. Sounds really good. So is this a 135 or 335? N54 or N55?

I have NEVER had an issue with oil temps. I even did 6-7 back to back quarter runs in 95 degree weather and my temps never went over 250.

I just run HPF FMIC, Stett CAI and obviously have the factory oil cooler

1/4 mile runs won't do anything for oil temps. The track in the video looks quite small...mostly 2nd gear? That's on the Autocross type size; so you won't see much oil temp there.

However once on a larger road-course, you'll definitely want to stay away from Stg 2 boost/power levels...especially with the way COBB targets load in relation to IAT

On HPDE days, where you're out there for 25-30 minutes a session, you'll definitely see the oil temps rise. Even on 70 low humidity days on long sessions, my oil temps get to 270-280 at times.. And a couple of cool down laps are required.

Usually not a problem for 1/4 mile pulls, or 60-130 pulls as the car is slowing and you're easing off to get started again.

Mostly 2nd gear and 3rd gear on the straightaway. Only the beginner portion on the track was open, but on the full track there are some amazing straights.

I agree particularly that after 10-15 minutes of racing the temps would most definitely rise.

I have ragged my car a lot out on the open road in the Texas hill country in 100 weather and have yet to have an issue. And I'm a pretty demonic driver. Racing is a different story but I have yet to reach that limit.

1/4 mile, or highway/hard driving does not even come close to track abuse. In the video, you just weren't driving the car hard bro. No disrespect.

Sounds really good. Makes me wonder why mine doesn't sound that good. Perhaps there's a significant difference MT to AT. Where did you mount the GP? How's the sound inside?

Anyway, as everyone else has mentioned, you will not see temp issues on the streets or AutoX (or similar) event. Push hard for 20-30 minutes and you'll need viagra.

I think the angle from the rear is deceiving.

Being that this was my first time at the track I am by no means going as fast as one could on this track with my car. The curves where it looks like I am going really slow is due to the massive understeer (you can kinda hear the front tires plowing). I was also probably braking late and going too fast into the turns. I was driving as fast as my skills would allow me. Brey can attest that I has driving hard lol.

I had one of the faster times, even with an open diff and no experience and I think it was largely to to my straight line speed. I need suspension mods and a LSD to balance the car for racing.

I obviously agree that racing is a greater strain on an engine. My whole point was my car has been through a significant amount of abuse and I have yet to see any signs of overheating.
