Why debadge a 335i ?

Hi guys !

Now I've debadged my G35 coupe... and it looks cleaner.

Now I hear some 335i folks wanting to debadge their car. I can understand 328,330 wanting to do so... but why 335i ?

I plan on leaving the 335i on my car. its a brand that says NOT 328,330 etc.

why would you take the badging off ?

thanks

Like you said, it looks cleaner. Besides, for now you can tell it's a 335i by dual exhaust. Personally I like the clean look.

I dunno, Cause it's Cleaner looking and a lot of folks don't really care about the whole 328--->330--->335 thing. When I get my M6, I'll prolly leave the numbers, otherwise I don't think it matters. All the 3-series vehicles are pretty run of the mill.

I still think 666 would be a good replacement for the 335 though.

Your post only confirms that you are a badge buyer. If you don't know why they would do it, then to you the only reason to debadge is for shame of having an inferior car.

Funny thing is, the only people who would care don't need a badge to tell them which model you have.

Very true anyone wil lstill know by the exhaust.... which i think dual exhaust looks soooooo good on the 3 series. =) When i debadged my previous 3 series i was in love with the clean look. I may do it as well to my 335i

LED, I dont think he is a badge buyer. If he was, he would have gotten a 328 and put a 335i on the back of it...or something along those lines.
335i people are performance ariented people, IMO

Apparently you have not spent much time over at the Hayabusa web boards.

Posers and Badge chasers LOVE to have a "High Performance" model cause it means it cost more and they are therefore special (er).

I dunno if this is the case here, but the Hayabusa has huge numbers of folks clambering on just for imagined bragging rights...

I personally love to look in my rear view and watch people squirming up and down and around looking and pointing at my (black) pipes trying to figure it out. Non-enthusiasts of course.

Didnt you just answer your question? You seem like the type of person that would stick an M3 badge on a normal 3 series.

I personally never got this whole debadging thing. But that's just me and I don't even have a 335 (yet...). The only reason I would see for this is to make the car more of a sleeper... But in the sense of 335, as everyone else said, dual exhaust gives it away, so once again I see no point

I'd take the Roundel off too (...if it didn't leave an indentation).

I don't need no stinkin' Badges!!
