Anyone else completely lose interest in modding?
I was going mod crazy just this time last year, now everything is back to stock, most parts were sold, and I simply drive it as is. Anyone else in this completely polar opposite camp like me these days?
Seems also that I blend in much more now, and get far less riff-raff from other clowns on the road too. Maybe I\'m just gettin old.... ![]() |

you start modding your car TOO fast or TOO much, you could lose the fun doing it.
Especially when you let someone do all the work for you. Not saying you are but also one of the reasons. |

For me I'm on my last big mod, suspension. Once I do that I tell myself I am done. The mod bug will prob bite but this is the last thing I really want to do to my car. Anything else will be really minor.

Happy holidays Kev and Diesel! Yep the OSS went for 600
![]() Still gotta sell my mtech rear, mtech rockers, and 19" 199 blacks with Yokohama summers ![]() Guess that F30 coming out next year had something to do with it, or maybe a gently used M3 ![]() |

Doing clean mods to my Bimmer never gets old. Yes, it wears out my pocketbook, but I could never go back to stock. Doing a new mod makes me fall in love with the car all over again. It also makes me feel good about driving a 5 year old (technically 6 year old) car. Someone asked me the other day if it was a 2011, and I felt good after that comment. haha
I plan to drive my 06 E90 for another 5 years or more, so I need to keep modding it... otherwise I'll be bored with it. Still have several things on my list: coilovers, mtech full kit, spacers, and m3 lip spoiler. |

I feel the this particular BMW did put a damper on my modding, mainly because of its reliability and quirks. The E90 community sure is different then what I'm used to also. I dont see much help here just a lot of bickering.

I cut down on modding after spending a ton on my 350Z... that and I found other things to spend money on. I wouldn't have been able to afford LASIK surgery or go traveling if I spent too much money on car mods, which get boring after about a month or two.
I would like to buy parts, but these days it's not that often, and I usually think of better things to do with that money. |

I also lost interest in modding for the following reasons:
1. wallet almost empty due to holiday spending 2. this time of the year, road conditions are bad, lots of salt and potential rain/slush makes me reluctant to mod the car 3. with the new F30/32 coming out, I don't feel like spending too much on an outdated product 4. lazy |

Modding is great until you have to remove mods when it's time to sell the car. Then it seems like a huge pain in the a$$.
OTOH, having $1k in your PayPal after part-out is a pretty good feeling. ![]()
