Wheel insurance thoughts?
Is the wheel and tire package offered through BMW worth it? It\'s an 09 328xi sport with the 18 in wheel upgrades. I think they are 196 wheels. The dealer wants 2k for the insurance which seems like a lot however those wheels seem very expensive as well. I live in new England so they roads have lots of pot holes and the car has brand new RFT tires on it which I will use until they wear out then go to non RFT

I would suggest you price shop the wheel and tire insurance. I think the price at most BMW stores is closer to $1,200. Call three dealerships, ask for the F&I manager and have them quote you for Wheel Tire Insurance.
Then make the judgement of whether you want to pull the trigger. |

Was worth it for me. Paid $600 for my wheel/tire insurance, i guess before they had the huge price jump or w.e. But had 2 new wheels and 6+ new tires from road hazard damage.
