As for ipod connection, will it work if using AUX cable only?

It doesn't work when i connected ipod classic to my 2006 E90 by using AUX only, i am wondering if the charger plugged in lighter socket transmutes audio date as well. Any idea?

Not sure what doesn't work means -using AUX cable you should get sound but no control of the iPod from the car. If the charger plugs into the regular port on the iPod -using that port would cause the iPod to push music that way also. Do you get music if that cord isn't plugged into the iPod at all.
