Hey guys,
I'm not hijacking your thread, but I have an active AISLive account right now so I thought I would post the location of your ship LIBERTY. According to the WW site, it's enroute to Antwerp, Belgium, but it's actually docked. See below. Then it's on to Zeebrugge, Belgium, then Southampton (to pick up Mini Coopers!!), then NYC!!!

I'm on her too. . . . . now that I know progress is being made (as compared to the wait in Bremerhaven), I'm down to checking on status twice a day. Btw, I noticed that the OC website FINALLY updated yesterday to show status as en route.

Yeah, my info was also a bit delayed. 800# switched to "In Transit" as of yesterday and the OC website now says "En Route" as of today.

So, you guys think east coast pickup is possible in 2 weeks if she gets here on the 4th?

I hope so. My dealer's installing ipod integration for me, so I assume that'll slow things down by a day or so. My CA estimated 6/15, but I can't wait that long.

Ok guys I have been trying to figure out all this for months now. I orginally order my Black Saphire 328XI sedan sport pack. back in JAN hrough a military sales rep and had it set up to be produced and shipped so I could take delivery of it in April. (I am in Iraq) Well my unit was extended until the end of the summer so I had production postponed a few months. It was built back in April and has been awaiting transport forever! Finaly I figured out how to get on the owners circle and then I found this bitchin post and I am ecstatic!!! Eveyrone here thinks I'm crazy for being so involved with when my delivery will be, where my car is, and all that but I know you guys understand! Can anyone tell me how long it usualy take for the car to get from where it is on the Liberty now, all the way to my Dealer in MN? When should I tell my dealer what options I want installed on it before I pick it up. I want Ipod int. and exaust tips put on. Any help I could get would be great!!!!!

No problem. I know what it's like to not know where the ship is. And you're right, the next two weeks are going to suck for you. AISLive is only good when the ship is within range of the AISLive receivers picking up their transmissions. After that you need the sailwx.info tracking site. Just keep your fingers crossed that they report. They don't usually start reporting till they are out in open sea, maybe a day or two after leaving Southampton. My ship Carmen reported the whole way, even after the Panama Canal, then there are others like Maersk Tide which never reported at all.

Here is the current location of Liberty, just set sail from Southampton, rounding the corner at the Isle of Wight, then off to NYC!!! We'll probably have AISLive coverage for another 10 hours, then it will be out of range.

Yeah, unfortunately Liberty went out of range about 5pm EDT Saturday. The last reported position on AISLive is below. To my knowledge, there is no way to track a NYKLine ship, although there was one which reported to sailwx.info, but that was a very rare exception. I know it doesn't help, but your wait is about half that of people who's ship has to go through the Panama Canal!

It looks like a 6/4 docking in NY is very doable. Given a week or so at the prep center, mid-June seems within reach. Just in time for the 85 degree days that make we want out of the Miata.

I really don't know how the West Coat folks do it. And, as anxious as I am, I can't imagine the folks waiting for convertibles and the like -- six weeks seems like an eternity, but three months. Ouch.
