Strong Super Glue type Adhesive Removal

i have an aero lip that has warped over time from the weather. i want to remove it but looks like it was applied by a very hard almost super glue like adhesive, not 3m double sided. i want to take it off and just put a spoiler lip on it. any ideas on how to remove it without ruining the paint and remove the adhesive as well? or is my front bumper toast?

3M makes a spray adhesive remover. I would get a can of that, spray it on (get as much under the spoiler as possible) and let it sit in the hot sun (or hit it with a blow dryer/ heat gun) and see if that works. Not sure what they used, but this is worth a shot.

i wish i lived in florida where i could get some heat on this. i'm really worried about getting it off and totally effing up the paint. is anyone familiar with this type of adhesive? i don't want to risk it and lose my bumper if it's a no go :S

The 3M spray is cheap. Get a can and spray it on one end. Run a heat gun or hair dryer over the area and see if it starts to work. If you see no result, abort.

They probably used butle or whatever. That stuff is pretty much permanent. Good luck, man. Hope it comes off clean.
