Dash instrument panel

Anyone know how to remove the side panel of the dash next to the instrument panel. I am trying to run a radar wire through the dash in the panel to get to the obd since I got a v1 with savvy.

If you're talking about the vent trim, it's friction fit. Just pry it off.

this panel. it appears there is a bolt or something holding it on the bottom but can not confirm as i couldn't see it. i used a credit car to pry the top of the panel open was able to get half of the cable in the panel. but still need to take it off. used the savvy tonight and have it set to turn volume down below 35mph. seems to work as designed will keep you updated

You know I don't think that's removal-able.

But I can tell how to get that wire up there. Take the lower panel off under the steering wheel. There are 3 torx screws holding it on. It's a T20 I think. But don't quote me on that. It may be a T15 or even T25.

Anyway, then remove the A pillar trim. Pop the airbag symbol off and there will be another torx screw there. Again, not sure which size. The screw cover can break very easily so you may want to get a new one.

Then you can pop the trim off, it's friction fit (after removing the screw).

I have pictures of the A pillar and the panel under the steering wheel removed in my thread here:

See pos. 15

The part is loose with a couple of press fit edges.

Yes, it is removable, I just popped it off to tuck some dashcam wires. 3 clips on the front side, I didn't remove it all the way to avoid having to slip it behind the felt door trim.
