Replica M wheels from **********s? Wheel advice needed on E90 2006 330xi
Hi all --
New poster here/car novice (learning a lot as I poke around here) and interested in upgrading my current 17" stock wheels to something more aggressive. Want to keep it budget-friendly so interested in replica wheels. Anyone bought these from **********s? I know they're big on this site, but wanted to see if anyone had first-hand reviews. Also interested in hearing feedback on what size, offset, etc I should do. I don't have sport suspension and have not lowered the car, so I'm curious as to what will fit. Live in Boston where roads are bumpy and full of potholes. Should I even think about lowering the car? Love the look. Attached is my car as-is. Am thinking of doing black grilles and possibly covering the chrome on the sides. Also am getting vinyl smokes on the front ambers and ordered blacklines for the rear. |

You can run both the 18" and 19" setups on your car without any issues. If you're worried about pot holes and bad road conditions, I would recommend that you stick with 18"s as you'll be able to run a tire with a taller sidewall for more protection of the wheels.

If you want a more aggressive look, please consider 10-12mm spacers front and back for those wheels.
I have OEM 219M wheels with M3 offset (29F/23R), and put a plus size to add more sidewall (235/40F, 265/35R) with little to no rubbing in the rear... Fortunately, I bought the M3 wheels from a forum member, but I was also considering the **********s 220M reps in 18-inch.

Mtechnik3 also inspired me to get those 219M wheels and there is no need for spacers with the OEM wheels. For the MB 220M reps, you could use up to 10mm spacers front and back to push the wheels out closer to the fenders for a flush look. The resulting offset would be 30mm front/30mm back with no issues, whatsoever. Quote:
GL to both of you!

I'm considering the OEM 219M wheels just like yours. I want to change out the OEM Michelin PS2 tires for the ContiExtremeContact DWS (prefer all season tires). I'm afraid of rubbing, but since I have xi, I think my suspension is a little higher and shouldn't be an issue.
Newbie here so what do you mean when you say "put a plus size for more sidewall"? |

As long as the tire dimension is within a small percentage, the new tire size will not affect the speedometer reading. That is, when your speedo reads 60mph on a 225/45/17 tire, the actual speed on a 225/35/19 tire might be 61. Standard BMW OEM wheel/tire sizes: Wheel Size:_____________17-inch____18-inch____19-inch Tire Size/Aspect Ratio:____225/45_____225/40____225/35 Wheel Diameter:_________24.97______25.09_____25.2 Check out this link to get a better idea of what tire size fits on which wheel: http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
