hey guys i have a 2005 320D ES. Its absolutely basic just in the process of an Lci conversion and 335 conversion on the rear. I was just wondering would I be able to code so I fog lights come on when unlocked? I know its already been done on newer models

Look for any value in NFRM with WL and NSW
It may even look like this: WL_NSW nicht_aktiv Change to "soft_einschalten" to allow it to slowly turn on/off, or "hart_einschalten" for instant on/off with lock/unlock. EDIT: In fact, I just found this thread posted a while back by member "BeWide" that shows you other Welcome Light possibilities. _____________________________ WELCOME_LIGHT_ACTIVE nicht_aktiv -> active WL_AL = low beam nicht_aktiv / hart_einschalten WL_BL = brake light nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_BLK_H = Left Rear nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_BLK_V = front indicator nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_FL = beam nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_KZL = plate light nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_NSL = rear fog lamp nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_NSW = fog nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_POL = position or the front parking light nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_SL_1 = closing or parking light rear 1 nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_SL_2 = closing or parking lights, rear 2 nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten WL_SM = Eyebrow nicht_aktiv soft_einschalten / / hart_einschalten |

Yup you can replace it (just get FRM3) and then retrofit it into the car. You'll have to change the production date on the module for NCS to recognize NFRM instead of FRM.

From what I heard, you only have to "simulate" the production date for NFRM modules. I believe with frm 3, you don't have to worry about that.

are there *any* type of welcome lights possible with FRM1? (05 production date)
also any other reason to upgrade to a FRM3? (other features) for both the OP and myself. |
