Question on this fog light switch..
Dear All,
You might be familiar with this switch. (Euro, rear fog light switch). Does anybody know what the red circle part is for? |

It might adjust the brightness of the lights on the dash at night, when the headlights are on.

Headlamp level adjustment. And as long as you have the correct version as far as rain sensor or not, it will work just fine in a US spec car. The headlight level switch will just not do anything. I have one in my car that I picked up in Amsterdam.

I have also read inconsistencies with some US spec cars and packages (it could have been a marketing thing) I wouldn't want something non functional in my car that is just me. |

Actually, I have every intention of getting the Euro lights with the leveling motors at some point, probably my next trip to Europe. I've had them on several cars, very useful.

I am sure this is a headlight level adjustment maybe for some versions like 316 e92 or e90
that dont have auto adjusted headlights
