Question on this fog light switch..

Dear All,

You might be familiar with this switch. (Euro, rear fog light switch).

Does anybody know what the red circle part is for?

It's not the one you want for your car (for adjusting the lamps) not for US spec cars.

I have a switch for sale (100 shipped) that works

It might adjust the brightness of the lights on the dash at night, when the headlights are on.

Are you being serious? I can't tell because of the smiley. Does it adjust the level? Output?

Headlamp level adjustment. And as long as you have the correct version as far as rain sensor or not, it will work just fine in a US spec car. The headlight level switch will just not do anything. I have one in my car that I picked up in Amsterdam.

There ya go

I have also read inconsistencies with some US spec cars and packages (it could have been a marketing thing) I wouldn't want something non functional in my car that is just me.

It has a function - makes people ask "what's that"?

Actually, I have every intention of getting the Euro lights with the leveling motors at some point, probably my next trip to Europe. I've had them on several cars, very useful.

that dont have auto adjusted headlights
