When is it too late to change color of ordered car???

hey all. ok so i ordered my e93 a few weeks ago but my CA told me that production wouldnt start until early June. i kept it conservative (spark. graphite w/ gray leather & gray pop. trim) but ive been looking at pics of alpine white with red leather & i think im falling in love...BUT before i get my hopes up, is it too late for me to call & try to change the color combo? any thoughts?

"...my CA told me that production wouldnt start until early June..."

I think you still have time to make those changes... just call up your CA.
Let us know how it works out.

You can always head to Maaco. They usually got a deal if you want to paint the wheels the same color. Pretty coool...

its a personal choice...only you know the answer to this. Don't overanalyze it, the first instinct is always the right one. These are just normal order anxieties.

The Alpine White is cool, As I've said before though if I were to do it again I'd definitely do the TiAg. The White lacks that something extra that the silver has.

As far as the Red leather, it's freaking awesome. It is something I'd do again without hesitation. I get a lot of compliments on the leather especially and mostly from the ladies... SO, if you want a car that a bunch of stank ass sweaty men like, get black on black, or that Blue Black color with a brown or black interior.

But the ladies do dig the red leather, and it's not easy to photograph so until you see it in person, you should try to hold off on your decision. It's nice and red, but it's a grown up red, not as wild and loud as it looks in most pictures.

And Like I said, White is cool, and I do not really REGRET it, I get a lot of positive comments. But the Silver is just so much more... Interesting...

These are all personal preference. The more people post the more you're going to jump back and forth.

What do you see yourself driving? The AW/Red combo does not look childish at all. The above poster said silver has something white doesnt. To me, silver has nothing. Silver is everywhere and it doesn't stand out whatsoever. It's just so bland. Like I said, personal preference.

SG is a very nice color. It would actually be one of my top choices but white just hits the soft spot for me. Have a white car now. E92 order is white too.

There's a reason though that you see all the Graphite, Grey, Silver, or whatever you want to call it. Cause it looks freaking awesome on some cars. Is about Zero maintenance, and shines up and sparkles really nice without being so dark that you're a slave to your paint.

Sometimes things are popular because they Simply work better or look great.

Exactly. It's easy to take care of and it's simple. Plus, it's probably easier to resell those colors.

Silver is very nice on some cars. I'll admit that. But I still would probably choose a different color over it.

But bottom line, still personal preference. All you can really do is keep looking at pictures and see the both color options in person. There's always going to be a silver/black/white/orange/yellow car that you drool over.

thanx for the input guys...actually ill be happy either way wit the SG or AW...what im more worrited about now is interior...i have the gray interior which it seems not many people get (why?)...id like to be daring & go for the red but then im also worrited about resale value? i would assume that a car with red interior is harder to sell....am i right here?

If you haven't seen the Coral Red in person, you must do so before ruling it out. It looks so loud in pictures but is slightly less in-your-face in person. I never thought I'd do red interior, but after going to the dealership a 4 times to look at the red I finally bit the bullet. I've always had tan or black leather interiors in my car and I'm ready for something more fun. Seriously, check it out in person regardless of the exterior color.

The red does look awesome in person! That's what sealed the deal for me.

I can tell you why, The Grey Leather comes with grey speaker grills, headliner, seats, etc... It's freaking grey Overload...

IMHO... I really wanted the grey but after looking at the grey in person it was a little to Hmm... You know didn't really do much for me. Would be perfect for a sedan maybe, but I was looking for something a little different in my sporty coupe.

While I may have misgivings about the AW, the Coral Red is a winner! :rocks:
