Track Events 2012

Interested in taking your car to track events?
A few of us started a email thread to see what events we would like to do this summer. Having more friends go out to a event is more fun then going by yourself.

Here are some of the events we are looking at this summer:

Quote:

April 14-15: Putnam park (Greencastle, IN.)
Single Day: $250
Weekend: $350

May 26-27: Gingerman Raceway (South Haven, MI.)
Single Day: $160 if you register a 1 month before, closer days to the event will be $180
Weekend: $260/$280 (same as above)

June 11: Autobahn Country Club I (Joliet, IL.)
Price: $250

July 7-8: Road America (Elkhart Lake, WI)
Single: $250
Weekend: $375

July 29: Gratten Raceway (Belding, MI)
Single: $200
Weekend: $350

September 8-9: Gratten Raceway (Belding, MI)
Weekend Only: $200

August 6: Autobahn Country Club II (Joliet, IL.)
Price: $250

October 13-14: Road America (Elkhart Lake, WI)
Single: $250
Weekend: $375

are SA2010 helmets a requirement yet or are the SA20005 still acceptable. I do not have a new helmet yet and I am milking it as long as I can lol.

you should be okay, as i think is good till the this year or next,

I will see what events show up on ontrackinsurance and I will let you know which ones I will attend. Have to track insure this beast. Took it to waterford hills last year and didn't have it and I was very nervous the whole time.

How's that track insurance work? One time deal or just like a normal insurance.

You can do a one time insurance or for a season

2005 seem to still be accepted by most places - could even go to 2015 before everyone will ask for 2010+.

^^ get a quote here as well. I've done about 15 track days, no problems. But everyone is different, cars , mods, etc, etc..

can't wait to get some track time in this year. I am hoping to try out mid ohio this year. I have done grattan and waterford and want to try something new.
