M6 reps et30 w/ 265 tires rubbing in the rear.

Recently I put on a set of M6 reps with Goodyear Eagles on a stock E92 335i coupe.
The sizing are 19 x 8.5 et 35 w/ 235/35R19 in the front & 19 x 9.5 et 30 w/ 265/30R19 in the rear.
However, it is rubbing the inside of the rear fender whenever I cross a bump or go up a slope even without any rear passengers, and so there are always black particles dropping onto the tires and rims.
I originally thought about lowering the car a little bit since it is looking a little weird in the front because there is fairly large gap between the front tires and the front fenders (rear looks ok though!).
It seems that it is a terrible idea now since it is already rubbing on stock suspension.
Is there anyone else having the same problem, and is there anything I can do about it? Thanks in advance!

Lower your car and run with camber, or buy new tires (245) and stretch.

That seems strange. Almost everyone that runs 30 to 35 with the 265 does not have rubbing issues and most of them are lowered. I have been doing alot of reading on this and I was even going to use et30 on a set since most I see for rubbing have been et22. Might have to change to 35 front and 35 back just to be safe.

I haven't heard of that et30 & 265 tires would cause rubbing either. That's why I am curious to see if there is anyone else having a problem with a setup like this.
I don't think I want to buy new 245 tires as I just blow over $500 on these brand new 265 tires. On the other hand, I know nothing about fender rolling, what kind of places should I go to for a fender roll, and usually how much would it run?

Are you absolutely certain that the offset is ET30? Is it possible the vendor you bought it from you gave you the wrong wheel?

That seems really strange...because you are the first person I have heard of who is running 9.5 ET30 and is rubbing in the rear with 265 series tires.

That is my setup 19x9.5 et30 265/30/19. Perfect fit no rubbing, room to spare. I have factory sport and this setup looks like it came with the car, it fits so well. You might want to look in the back of your wheel, most wheels have a stamping that indicate the offset. They might not be 30mm.

Sorry to hear that. I have ET 40 on the rear with the same size tires and no issues at all.

You shouldnt have any rubbing, that seems pretty odd. Possibly wrong wheel? Possible camber has been played with? Probably easiest solution is to roll your fenders at this point.

This is indeed strange that you are getting rubbing. However, like I mention to members, every car is different, some how, some way. Realistically though, you can probably just go to a wheel or shop that can roll your fenders easily. This should be the best option. It'll let you both run the tire/wheel set up you want, and avoid rubbing at the same time, if you do plan on lowering your car in the future.

Stiffer suspension will also help with your rubbing, and possibly a better alignment or more camber as you lower the car also.

By the sounds of it its rubbing pretty bad.I agree that one of them might be the wrong offset. Are you rubbing on only one wheel?

If he got the wrong size/offset on one wheel, he'd notice that the car would be pulling towards one specific direction also.

He may also be rubbing on only one side right now (driver side, if true) because he is in the car, and therefore lowering that side of the car more than the other side.

Its just kind of wierd. I had my csl's with 15mm spacers ( 45mm=30mm) and it rubbed on one side for a day or two then stopped. It was never actually rubbing against the metal just the padding. He's seeing bits of rubber on his wheels. It seems like its rubbing bad. wierd.

I rubbed on the passenger side with only me in the car. I would say double check the offsets and if they are fine roll the fenders.

Yes sir. ///M stickers come free. OEM BMW center caps cost an additional $20 bucks for a set of four. Of course, you could always re-use your current ones though. They'd work and fit right in.

Are you sure that they'd fit?
I have tried my stock BMW center caps and they are like a few mm bigger the holes on the M6 reps, and I couldn't make them go in no matter how hard I pushed...

Anyway, the wheels are rubbing on both sides.
Where do I look for the offset no. on the wheel?

Oh snap, you're right, M6 wheels.

You should have gotten free BMW center caps with it too, since the OEM ones are slightly different sizes.

Give us a call in later today, at around 12PM PST.

It's okay. I got the BMW center caps that come with the wheels.

Is there anywhere on the wheels that I can confirm that it is indeed a et30 wheel?

I can't point out exactly where it is right now, since I don't remember, but we have a wheel in our office that we could always check. Give us a call later.
