Thumbs up I Finally Got It...

The search is finally over! I just bought a 2008 335i space grey with black interior and poplar wood trim. One owner with 56k km's and 14 months balance of new car extended warranty.

I'm going to replace the wheels with black or anthracite 19's. There are two excellent offers in the classifieds section. VMR's and GTC's. Which ones do you guys think are better in terms of quality and looks? The car already has near new Pirelli non-RFT tyres so I only need to order wheels.

Mods i'm thinking of:
1. Black wheels.
2. Aero front lip.
3. Gloss black grills.
4. Black exhaust tips.

I appreciate your help regarding the best places to order these things from. I used the search but I was wondering if there are any updated information.

More pics coming soon...

Congrats Mo!! How does it feel power-wise compared to the 20i?

VMR/GTC are essentially the same thing, which style are you looking at? If it's something that GTC has then I would just go with that as Jason@ED is local. Pretty sure Jason also has a special on aero front lips at the moment too. Maybe try pick up an Msport rear while you're at it...

Seems like the car already has tint which is good. Have you considered any performance mods? You should definitely consider a JB4/Procede.

Finally do you mind me asking how much you paid for it?

Hi Mo3! Congrats on the new car - Its good to see you found the car you were looking for. Personally I think it looks great just as it is. I'll be interested to see what wheels you end up getting.

No comparison whatsoever to the 320i

I like the black VMR 710's and the anthracite GTCX's. I'm open to suggestions though.

Still not sure about the M sport rear bumper.

No performance mods at this stage. It is already fast for someone who has been driving a 320i a couple of weeks ago.

And finally, it was a private sale. The asking price was $65k I got it for $58k. The guy was desperate to sell.

Thanks! It took over three months to find it!

I'll let you know if I decide to sell them.

You have to be very quick when the car is at a decent price, especially around summer time when people are looking for something nice to cruise in.

At the auctions in Melbourne (Manhiem), an 07 e93 335i, with 25,000kms on the clock went for 62k.....so probably 65ish on road. It was that horrible platinum bronze colour though (no offence to platinum bronze owners).

Congrats MO3 on your new purchase! The car looks good as is - my personal preference would be to go for a sportier look and go with M-Tech bumpers, but I guess the aero lip will give it a similar look too

Your current ride is sick already SBC! Okay, other than having the power of a n54 under the hood...opps sorry, was trying to make you feel better but not working :P

On another note SBC (and I don't mean to thread jack here), read from another post that you did a LCI paddles retrofit? Can post pics of the outcome? Thanks!

Congrats on the purchase! So hard to find the 'right' car. I had to fly to Melbourne a couple of days ago to buy a 135i after looking for what feels like eternity :/

I missed out on a couple of good deals because I took my time and wasn't quick enough. One thing I discovered, the low milage does not reflect the condition of the car. I looked at a 2008 coupe, first registered in 2009, with 25k km's but it was in a poor condition inside and outside. Dents and scratches everywhere. Driver's seat worn out as if it has done 300k km's. You have to physically see the car to see if it's worth the money you're paying.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the gunmetal V710's.

Thanks! Yeah I think I'll be content with the aero lip for the time being.

Thanks! If I drive a tuned x35i and feel huge difference from stock, maybe I'll consider the tune.

Stick with those 19" wheels. They are really high quality rims. If you want black, you could consider getting them painted but get it done properly, with a clear coat, as opposed to DIY!

If you do want to sell them, you will get a really good price if they are not scratched.

Fuuuccccck how did I miss this?? Sorry to put this here MO3 but this made my toes curl.
I'm about to sell a very low km's (12,000) mid 2007 Jet Black E92 335i Coupe in immaculate condition with 19" 230 wheels. I dare anyone to find one scratch or ding under lighting on the car. Always garaged since new and only used on rain-less weekends. Will be pricing the car at $65,000 and at the right price, it will come with a lot of gear too. Quaife LSD diff. Aero Front lip, Msport rear bar, 3D Design M3 Carbon rear lip, Msport Leather steering wheel, BMW Performance Gear selector and alcantara boot, Rix Vent Boost Gauge, Lux ver.3 white Angel Eyes and Rev.2 Procede tune. I also have a brand new set of AR Design catless Downpipes, Forge Drop-in Diverter Valves and a Helix Intercooler, all still in their boxes. It's all got to go....

Painting them (gunmetal or anthracite finish) might sound like a good idea. Thanks!

I think selling a modded 335i on carsales is a really hard task as most people would think it's been abused. You might get some interest here though. Good luck!
