window trims

i looked around and did some searching but cant see to fine the answer to my question i really what the chrome trim around my windows but cant seem to find a place that sells it......anyone have any ideas as to where about i may find it?

i tried this too. its only from the dealer you can get it. call ur BMW SA today and ask. problem is, for all of it it costs ~$600, and with installation its ~900$. I didnt do it because that kind of money could get much more than just chrome strips. instead i got an AC Schnitzer kit.

called the dealership they gave me a fairly good price 550bucks not bad for the both sides......im gonna put it on myself though 150 an hour of labor he said about 3 hours thats way to much money for an hour job.......

yeah. but its a really hard DIY. theres a pretty good chance that if you or someone else that doesnt know how to do it is going to break something. better u cough up that money.

i rather save that money on some better im pretty sure i can handle it my dad is really good with cars so im gonna give him a call up to help me out...

good luck with it, i hope u dont break any railings. i found on some thread someone here used a chrome spray paint and just applied it to the strips. he said it came out perfect, so i think im going to go that way instead. its just not worth 500$. i rather get that money and use it on the decals i want to put on my car. and then take whatevers left towards blackline taillights.

well im picking them up tomorrow from the dealer......and i was just in the garage trying to see how to do it from the DIY.....it seems pretty easy i was even able to take the side mirror off i'll post pics as soon as i do it prolly this weekend

it's nearly impossible to remove the chrome trim without bending it, once you bend it, you can't unbend it

ejazbmw, it's easy to take out the plastic black trim, once you take it out yourself, you might even be able to sell it, since it'll be in pristine condition
