Changing Springs in Forge Dv's

The DIY makes it look way too easy, I can not get these things open..

Is there a trick to it?

If anyone is having trouble unscrewing the v2's (the ones without the hex collar), the easy fix is to leave the rubber hose clamped on the DV. You can get a much better grip on the hose, and it should unscrew with little effort.

also, they're completely installed but they are extremely close together, like within a mm of each other, the hoses that came with the, the large ones, seem to be very long.

You don't need the shims!

In any case, RTFM!
