BMW Indy servicing

If I was to get my 335d serviced by an indy, would I still receive any relevant software updates for the car? Or is this only possible wen being serviced by a BMW stealer?

Depends on the Indy, but yes, they receive the updates too if they have the proper eqpt

What is the price difference between Birds and BMW. If memory serves, it wasn't very much at all?

err it's loads, oil change cost me £80 and i didn't have to supply my own oil

i think their hourly rate is something like £65 or £70
