Everytime i WASH

Everytime i wash my car which is once a week, i find a new paint chip or small scratch and it kills me. i wish there was better or stronger paint out there thats damage proof(a fools hope) but i guess i just have to live with the fact that nothing stays perfect forever and the more you want perfection the more unhappy you'll be... But i wont stop washing it tho

Get a clear bra and you won't get that many scratches. Mine goes right to the front windshield.

I put a full hood clear bra on my car and have regretted it ever since. I can see a place for it on the front bumper, but the bra has stretch marks (called scaling in the industry and they trapped dirt underneath it. Both of these look like scratches and rock chips from a distance. I am now actually going after the original installer to have it removed and get my money back. Also, for the 335, the full hood kit doesn't cover the entire hood. They can't cut a piece that big, so it actually is two pieces covering the hood. This removed any advantages of not seeing the edge of the bra. Even my grandpa thought I had a big scratch on the car.

If you get a clear bra, make sure you get a very experienced installer. That makes all the difference in the world.

I would say mine's about 90% there too. No dirt under or anything it looks great. Only problem is that it is 2 pieces so yes you can see a line in the hood but it's almost all the way up. Fact of the matter is in Europe I already got a scratch that high up so I figured it wasn't worth doing it unless I did it all the way. It would be better if it was 1 piece but I'm pretty happy as my e46 looked like CRAP after 8 years and 20 some odd track sessions. I'm thinking with the clear bra it will look much better over time. I'll take the line over the millions of little pits.

Okay, see these photos I just sent for my claim

And if the installer/3M doesnt make it right, then I will post a lot more than here so that others buyers are aware of the issues.

Photos 1, 4, and 5 show what the industry calls silvering. This is usually caused by over streching the product.

Photo 2 is a big air bubble that never wend down.

Photo 3 is an example of what dirt looks like trapped under the clear bra.

I have some dirt under my clear bra, as well as the stretch silvering. I believe some silvering is unavoidable but I may be wrong. My clear bra installer took out air bubbles with a small hypodermic needle.
