Koni Yellows and HR Sports or KW V1 Coilovers for the track?
Hey guys maybe this has been answered and can't find it, but what would you recommend for the track ? Koni Yellows with H&R Sport springs or KW V1 Coilovers? This is my daily driver but plan to track the car 3-5 times a year. Will be on 19 VMR V701 and Hanhook V12s next week. I currently have sport suspension on my e92 335i with stock 18s and RFTs.
I know dampers are adjustable on Konis but the height isn't and on KWs the Dampers are not adjustable but the height is. Can't freaken make up my mind so can someone share their experience? Also how far can the camber be adjusted with out camber plates, is it enough for tracking the car ? Thanks.

Pricing starts at $1650 for struts and shocks (without springs), kind of steep but they look promising, where can I get these for e92 ? Also what about Koni Coilovers (full kit)?

This is a similar question I've been having. I do have a friend who is looking to unload his KWv1. He wanted me to buy them but I'm not so sure I want KWs over something that's more road and track friendly.

you can see in my sig what I run at the track. Great street and track performance. The difference in cost is minimal between great dampers/springs and good ones, especially if you consider install cost etc. It is like 10% more to get the good stuff and you will be happy. Nothing worse than trying to save a few hundred then being unhappy and wanting to rip it out and replace it. DIRFT.

What spring are you running on your AST 4100, Hyperco? What are your spring rates? I probably will buy AST 4100 from what I have read. Are you getting any noises because of camber plates or is it smooth? BTW thanks for your feedback.

Started with Koni Yellow and HR Sports here.....wish I would have went Coilovers the first time...recently switched to Swifts.. If I were you I'd go V2's over the V1.

I will defiantly go with coilovers but ones that have linear springs and adjustable dampening, and height, camber plates I can by later, V1-3 are progressive. When you said Swifts are they linear ?

There is a coilover conversion for koni shocks that uses swift linear springs. Hit up HP Autowerks and talk to harold. They have the koni coilovers and also sell the AST's, so you'll get a better idea of what you can get for your budget.

I think Ihave swift/FR Hyperco RR. (but it could be reverse) 400/800. Some guys are going with less in the rear, but I like my setup. I have no issues with the plates at all! Luv- em.
