sonic tuning e90 m3 skirts
spent about 4 hours trying to get the m3 skirts from sonic tuning on yesterday and before i beat up on my car out of frustration i decided just to put the stockers back for the time being... everything lined up right but for some reason the yellow clips that attach to the skirt would not stay popped into rocker holes, when i put them back on the stockers they stay in although not as secure as they felt before, I think i am going to replace all of the clips, as i think maybe they are a little wore, should i replace the rocker grommets also,,,has anyone had this experience, this should have taken an hour tops and it about stole my sanity

Replace the clips that are wore, we usually do the install inside around room temp after letting everything sit for 3-4 hrs.
If you are working on it in the cold, you might want to use a heat gun to warm it up a bit. And cleaning the rockers would help alot. PM me if you have any other questions. |

it was inside my shop prob 60 degrees, after thinking about it it seems that it just had to be how the skirts have reshaped them selves, i had them sitting in my break room at about 65 all weekend laying flat on the carpet, they line up perfect and fit each wheel spot on, I think this more of a fastener problem not a fitment issue...gonna go at them tomm and will let you know ...thanks Jose

The technique I used was as attach with one clip and screw it in underneath in sets. So one clip, one screw, repeat. That kept the sideskirt attaches and did not pop off after screwing in.

yeah there just push in plastic pieces, not screws, they have a torx head but you just breakem loose and they pull out
