Question about Charge pipe
Is it necessary to purchase an aftermarket charge pipe if getting a catless downpipe? I was talking to someone and he said that if I don't get a new chargepipe, the OEM one will probably crack.

The OEM one isn't too great.
If you plan on modding your car, which you will be doing with the downpipe, you will most likely be hooked on the mod bug and buy more performance things like intake or tune or whatever you may have you eyes on. Best case is that you buy an aftermarket charge pipe just to play it safe and not risk your stock one cracking. Plus it would be another more to add to your list! Haha I have the ER charge pipe and installed it with BMS stage 2 and BMS catless downpipe at the same time. BMS now makes one for the N55. They didn't a few months back when I put everything on. There may be other companies that make them. I don't have any complaints about ER or BMS. Both reputable and produce excellent products! Best of luck with the downpipe and the car! |
