I'm so f@$## pissed. I need your help.

So I bought a pair of M-TEC D1S bulbs from www.zestjdm.com. I got the items today. When I opened and checked the light bulbs, the base of the lights appeared to have a lot of scratches. Even the connector has some scratches. It looks like the light bulbs have been installed. That's why you see the marks. Please let me know what you think. The owner is a member on this forum too, his screen name is "zestjdm". I looked up his website and got his home address. If he doesn't give me a refund, I'm gonna have to pay him a visit!

If You Havent Used Them, Then Take A Picture Of The Actual Capsule.

If The Glass Is Clear, Then They Have Not Ben Used, If There Is A "cloud" Inside, Then They Have Been Fired Before.

From There Its Up To You '

I tried calling his business and the phone is always off. If QA has been performed, I think they must be QAing this shit out of these light bulbs. The metal base has scratches all over. Here are the shots of the bulbs and base. I will come to his house with a hammer if these are used. I'm serious! I hate dishonest people!

There are scratches all over the metal base and there are marks on the connectors. It tells me that these were once installed and used for a short period of time. New Products should never have any marks! period!

I don't see what the big deal is. I have received items that were new but had handling marks all over them. It's a bulb,

What did these set you back, are we talking a lot of $$$$?

I'm just pissed because they listed the item as new. OK so the bulbs are never used but the bases are just so messed up. When something is classified as "new", everything must be in good condition.

Take a look at this picture from this vendor. Brand new!

hard to see from the pics 100% but the capsules look clear, ergo not fired.

so the "damage" could be due to repackaging?

Bulbs are not fired. I am guessing that the original owner was midway through installing them before realizing that he had the wrong ones. Pulled out, repackaged, resold. Never lit. It's the best way to buy something second hand because you save lots on a never used item!

It's more than just packaging. Please do not buy anything from them. The site says you can pay by visa and master cards but at the checkout page, there's only one option to pay with paypal. The phone number they listed on their site is always off and they never reply to my emails. That's why I'm so pissed. They deserve this rant from me!

This is through a vendor, not owner. So everything is supposed to be new. They charged me for the price of a new item but sent me "secondhand" items.

Ah, well that is a different story altogether. I understand your frustration but don't get too bent out of shape. Hopefully the vendor gets back in touch give them a chance to make it right. Don't hold your breath though since you already looked up the address and publicly threatened violence before they had a chance to arrange the return.

Dude, you're hella overreacting to such a little issue. Bulbs are often recased, reshelled, whatever you wanna call it and work perfectly. Like one of the other guys said above, perhaps they tried installing but didnt fit. The main thing is that the bulbs are clear. Seriously yo, no ones gonna walk up to your ride and say "damn bro, you lights are hella weak...look at those scratches on the casing".

I've done businesss with Zestjdm before, once for license plate LEDs and another for some side skirts. He's one of the most honest and easy going seller's that I've come across on the boards.

You should try and work it out with him first before trying to trash his rep, esp considering his itrader rating (>zero) compared to the one you're sporting (ZERO).

I tried to call his business number but the phone was turned off, sent him emails but no replies . What I don't like is the way he conducts his business and the merchandise are not in good condition. Nobody is going to be happy paying $150 for a pair of beat up light bulbs.

The metal casing is stamped and pressed into shape, that's what the marks look like to me. The scratches on the bottom can very well come from contact during the manufacturing process. These are not Rolex casings so don't expect a mirror finish here.
