USB cable ?
My car is being delivered this coming Tuesday but the dealer has informed me that i will have to buy a USB cable even though i have specced the USB option which will cost £30 .
Now is it me or does this sound a little crazy that i've specced an option and paid for it but i then have to buy an add on to get it to work ? Did any of you with the USB option have to pay for the cable ? |

Hi Scoot
i picked mine up last Saturday and yes I has the 6FL USB option fitted, and with it came a USB extension cable - male one end, female other - weird, why would you want that. Dealer has told me that the cable is extra and has quoted £40., well 39.99 anyway Alex |

Try this thread http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53577 that's got a lot of discussion.
The yanks seem to be getting the cable for free as it's sold as an ipod connection. In the UK however it's sold as a usb connection & will work as such without a fancy cable. If you want full ipod integration though (browse via album etc...) it looks like you will have to shell out for the cable! (Although there are a couple of reports of people getting them for free in the UK)
