Passed MOT (WooHoo), but...

...got an advisory due to 'slight seepage' on the 'pump to rack power steering pipe'.
Anyone know if this is a big job to replace and cost involved?
Test was done at my local dealer - John Clark BMW, Dundee. Tester didn't seem to think it was a very big job.

Did the tester point it out to you and, if so, did he say whether it was the pipe or the union that is seeping. Without applying too much force, you could try retightening it.
A picture would be helpful.

Yes the tester called me over to show me. He said if ordering the parts it would be the whole pipe assembly that was required, but that was from just looking. He didn't try fiddling with it in any way or mention tightening anything.
