Feeler on Downpipes

Hey Everyone,

I have a friend of a friend is a well known welder/fabricator in Japan. He makes high quality products for an amazing price. I've been in contact with him to make a downpipe for 335's with and without cats. The product would be similar to the one pictured below, basic 3" downpipe TIG weld, and option of a straight through pipes or with high flow cats.

I would like to see how many potential buyers there are for a product like this before we start the press. As many of you know Downpipes help reduce EGT temps, help exhaust flow better and even help the turbos spool faster (get for those with procede/xede/turbo tuners since these products create a slight lag) and ofcourse give a good whp/wtq gains.

Our goal is to make the product for a decent amount less than the SS downpipe.

We plan to get a prototype model made in a few weeks with dyno's.
*Dependant on interest

Thanks,
Z

If your going to make it without primary cats. You would have to get ahold of a tuner and tell them to tune out the CEL when you remove the DP's.

But other than that complication i would be interested to see how it goes.

Believe it or not, I dont think it is going to throw a cell. I had my exhaust off with my POST 02 sensors exposed completly, drove around for a few days and didnt get an CEL.

Also another member on the board has DP's and he said he hasnt thrown a CEL yet.

So lets hope for that, but IIRC, Shiv said he can do something if it does happen.

but count me in of course.

$10 and $15 respectively. JK. In my opinion it would be hard to toss out a number without more information. Now if you said "Hey I made a set of replica SS downpipes" that would be another story...
