Wow. Ok, I guess you're having trouble keeping it from showing every little mark known to exist? Or how about the fact that it gets dirty while sitting in the garage? Been there. Let's just say my Portal Cable buffer gets a lot of use.

I dont hate it, when its clean, and when I try to imagine all the imperfections arent there. As I walk towards my car, I look at it from 20 ft, maybe 15ft and then I stop looking at it, because it just pisses me off how you can see everything up close.

I considered black, but then everything MonacoBimm has stated is the reason I went to another color. Beautiful when clean, but you have to clean the car every other day! Oh and imperfections are easy to see.

You know what guys, its unfair for me to bash on this color. Because I know there are lots of people considering this color, and even though its a pain to keep it up, its still nice for the 7 minutes it last. I dont want to spoil any new buyers who were deciding on buying this color. If you have the time, and products to keep this finish looking awesome then go for it. Mods please delete this thread.

My experience as well but it seems that mine is dusty in about 15 mins. PLUS the clear coat seems to scratch just by looking at it. Had some bird droppings on the freshly applied Liquid Glass polish and it blemished the paint and I cannot hand polish it out. I am really disappointed. The last BMW I had was Cosmos black metallic, that looks very similar to the Sapphire( as I remember it) but I don't recall having the same problem.

Get a California Duster, once the car is clean I just run the duster over it and it looks nice again.
I pull my duster out in parking lots and boy do it get the looks like I am nuts. Just wish i could dust off the brake dust as easily, the reason I got ceramic brakes for my other cars. |
