328I upgrade possible?

Is it practically possible to upgrade my 2011 328I to a 335 equivalent? and what would be involved?

Thank YOU,

No, if it's possible it isn't practical. Sell the 328 and buy a 335i. Unless you are one of those 'but chicks don't know the difference' guys.

Anything is possible but it would cost you more then 4k. Or you can be faster then a 330i which CD got 5.6 seconds in. Just look up AA tune

No, it's not practical, and it doesn't even make sense.

Car and Driver got 5.6 for a stock 330i. My car is faster then a stock 330i.

Is it because you beat a stock 330 on a drag race or more scientific evidence? Because for that statement to be true, the stock 330 has to be driven by a professional driver rather than random bum off the streets to match the same 5.6 clock; also the if the 330 is clocked at 5.6 seconds and the 325 is faster than that, it means if you lined the 325 up with a 335 (a 5.5 sec car) and dragged them, they would be on par, or the 335 would lose, just don't see that happening for an AA tune alone, the 325 needs to strap on a pair (of turbos) for that to happen (we're talking about boosting the torque from a stock 185 to 300, it's no small task).

(If I recall correctly, C&D acceleration quotes are with a roll out, not from standstill)

No C&D acceleration quotes are always from a standstill. And a 335 is not a 5.5 sec car. C&D 0-60 was in the high 4 sec range for the 335i. I beat a 330i 4 times from a rolling start. It wasn't just an AA tune I had to swap out 1k worth of parts. Mainly the stage 3 intake manifold from a 330i.

328I Upgrades

Thanks to all for your responses. Does not sound like a smart thing to do.
I'm in the market for a Dark Blue 335I. Love the Deep Ocean Blue, but apparently the 335I does not come in that color.

C/D quotes are from a standstill. They do not baby the cars they test. The current 335 is easily a sub 5 second car. They seem to be having troubles with the F30 335, check this out:

Find a salvaged N54 engine/DME/components in the junk yard and start the conversion process. It's been done, look up the Egyptian 320i with the N54 swap. Labor was super cheap over there and he did it for pennies. However, you are much better off driving your 328i and trading up when you have the means to.

Or, wouldn't it be much less to just have the 335 repainted if you absolutly must have that color?
