Question Can Electric Memory Seats be retro fitted?

My car currently has heated seats with electric bolsters and has manual adjustment for everything else.

Can a set of electric memory seats (that include heat and electric bolsters) be retrofitted?

I'm guessing that this would need to be coded however is it a simple case of plug and play? I originally had non sport seats with heated elements and electric lumbar support and upgraded to sports seats with heated elements and electic bolster adjustment and it all swapped over fine with no issues.

I'm worried about taking the plunge on the electric seats and then the electric and memory function not working.

Anyone else done this or can shed some light?

I've done a search but all the other topics are focused on the heated function or the side bolsters rather than the movement electric part.

The seats I'm looking at have the control box underneath and the seller says that nothing else plugs into the seats apart from the normal yellow multiplug which provides power to the seat belt pretensioners, heated elements and bolsters. My worry is that perhaps my loom doesn't have the necessary part for the electric motors.

Check your seat wiring harness. Most BMW models are wired for all options so it should be plug and play.

That's what you'd think but apparently it's not that simple in this scenario!
