LCI Headlights and Adaptive Headlights

Ok so.. I've been looking around for clear headlights for my 06 3 series and I keep seeing posts about LCI headlights.. What exactly are LCI headlights? Does LCI stand for anything? Also, I got Xenon's and the headlights auto adjust and are adaptive... I am not sure if its the same but will that matter when I look for newer headlights? Any recommendations out there? I really like the headlights on the newer model 3 series.. The angel eyes are a lot brighter too... Any feedback would be much appreciated!
