Wrapped and Spoiled
Well, sort of, but not really
Having bought my car with the Burr Walnut Trim, i decided that, although i had definitely got used to it over the last few months, it wasn't to my taste. So i had a look around for the possibilities of changing it. I particularly liked the idea of replacing it with the Piano Black gloss trim, but this seemed to be very rare and came with the warning that it would attract dust and scratches very easily. I then happened to stumble across pictures of Dr House's other 335i, with the wrapped carbon effect trim with cream interior and thought it looked absolutely spot on. So, i ripped my interior out (my God, it took a while and was a very delicate process), sent it off to a guy on eBay ("carbon_king" is his username - http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/carbon_king) and he sent it back via next day delivery fully wrapped. If anyone is looking at getting something wrapped, "carbon_king" comes very highly recommended from me. Not only are his wrapping skillz second to none, but kept up brilliant communication and even offered to repair any clips which i had broken (only one thankfully) when i took the trim off. I was a little nervous at first sending my trim off to a random guy on eBay but talking to him beforehand, i realised everything would go fine. The wrap is great (he used the proper 3M wrap), i didn't realise how good it would be, but it's absolutely fantastic and, most importantly, looks and feels like it could be OEM. I also decided that i wasn't getting enough downforce in the corners, so i invested in an M3 spoiler (). Now, like my front Aero lip, i was all but decided on going Genuine BMW, but then i happened to spot on eBay (again!) M3 replica spoilers from fully painted with Dupont paint and delivered for £49. Since the Genuine M3 Spoiler was going to be difficult to get a hold of (BMW dealers make it hard for people with non M3 VIN numbers to get M3 parts) and cost £180 + painting, i figured for £49 painted and delivered, it was worth a punt! And boy am i glad i did. I wasn't exact filled with confidence as to what it would look like, being cheap and non OEM, but when i received it, it was....perfect? There was nothing more that i could have asked from it. The paint was absolutely spot on (and, believe me, i scrutinised it), and it fitted perfectly with no bending required. I think it looks utterly fantastic, and think these spoilers should have been fitted as standard as they improve the back end massively. |

Trim looks great! Spoiler is nice but I do like a spoiler-less e92 ass personally.
how much does he charge for the trim wrap if you don't mind me asking?

Nope, just spent a few days reading hundreds of threads on E90post from other people, and from having taken apart my E46 interior a few times, it was basically the same. Very fiddley though!! |

fantastic - looks much better imo
like the spoiler too - quite subtle too quite like the paino black finish for my interior as opposed to the brush silver - do they do a wrap similar to paino black? |

Loving the CF interior and the spoilerage, very nice
But I can't get past the SE seats which you sit on, rather than the sport ones which you sit in.

Liking the wrap Subzero, I have the same and would argue it is the BEST cosmetic mod you can do, for the price (but then, I'm not keen on boot spoilers). Mike. |

The wrap looks good. I bought a roll of the 3M Di-Noc carbon fibre and did my own. It really is very easy when you learn how the material behaves.
If you make a mistake just pull it off, heat with a hair dryer and re-apply. |

I believe that Saloon buyers really do get a raw deal - when I bought my first E90 I assumed a lot about it that wasn't right, just because I was thinking of coupe spec. No leccy seats, no xenons etc etc. Matt |

335 coupes have sports seats, m sport suspension and a sport steering wheel as standard.
the only thing the msport pack adds to a 335 is a chunkier steering wheel, anthracite headlining, high gloss ext trim, different front and rear bumpers and skirts. Everything else is identical. |
