Question CPO Limp mode erase tune?

I have a CPO 335i that was in the shop about a year ago after going into limp mode periodically. They replaced the intake and exhaust solenoids. I have since installed an Evolve stage 1 tune and have had no problems until the last few weeks. My car has went into limp mode and 2 or 3 occasions in the last week. I used my buddy's lap-top to install the tune so it would be a pain to have to uninstall tune and put it back to stock. How much of a risk would I be taking if I took it to the dealer (under CPO warranty) and left the tune in it? What are the chances they would be able to tell when they run diagnostics? Thanks in advance!

Pretty good chance I'd say, just have to figure how much your time is worth, few hours putting it back to stock vs having to pay for a potentially costly repair if they deny you warranty.

Unhappy

Why risk loosing your CPO warrranty when all you have to do is call your friend and have him meet up with you and just take it off? You kind of have a costly issue and I wouldnt want to risk loosing your warranty over.. and YES they can see the tune FOR SURE! just my 2cents... By the way what kind of issue were you having before they diagnosed the problems wrong with your car? Did it just randomly go into limp mode?

Anyone else curious what tune he is using? The only user-flashable tune I know of is Cobb but that's locked to one VIN. Are people hacking their way around this?

nm, should've read the post more thoroughly. Never heard of the tune though. Gotta check it out.

It was randomly going into limp mode...wasn't running hot...sometimes on start up, sometiems after driving casually. Always goes away after restarting. 1st time I took it to dealer they replaced intake and exhaust solenoids (before I installed tune). Went 6 months without issue. It hasen't happened again in the last week....strange. If it does start to happen again I will return it to stock and take it in for service. Thanks for all the advice.
