another fuel pump problem and no loaner!?

hey guys, add another victim to the failed fuel pump. towed the car in yesterday to be serviced and let them keep it over night. today, i called and the service advisor told me no eta on when they'll get the replacement since it's on backorder. so then, i ask for a loaner... since i do need to get to work somehow. they tell me all the loaners are out and that they will call me when they have one available. can they do this? should i bitch and whine about not having a loaner? thanks. i love my car, but this has left a bad taste in my mouth. maybe i shoulda bought something else...

im sure he'll take care of you, but I'd alert BMW North America just so they know your situation.

i think they have to give you a loaner.. even if it's not a BMW they still have to give you someting to go to places... call BMWNA and tell them the problem... call your SA have him/her help you out

Different dealer for service than the sale is often a problem.

At the very least they should be able to get you a non BMW loaner. I was in Hertz rental for a few days then was able to switch to a BMW loaner and I too have the fuel pump problem.

i don't really drive it hard. i've had symptoms of car lagging and shaking then powering down and engine malfunction light shows up. also, long start time. maybe i should have listened to that old saying about not buying a car in it's first year of production.

I've been in a Buick Lacerne for 5 weeks now.
BMW NA called the Stealership 4 times and told them to put me in a loaner and they still haven't.
It's the most bizarre situation there is.

Bitch to BMW NA.

They have been taking care of me from minute one, 5 weeks ago.
I'm still not in a loaner, but it's being made up to me.

The dealership is there to take care of thier customers.

They just don't want to give up a Loaner from thier fleet for 8 weeks.
I even got my Serv Mgr to admit that...... BMW NA was not happy !!

Go get em tiger !

Wow, 5 weeks and they still haven't put you in a BMW loaner. That dealer's service department sounds horrible. If you don't mind me asking what dealership did you take it to? I hope they are compensating you well for this major inconvenience. I'm going on week 6 waiting for a replacement fuel pump .

BMW NA is taking care of me.

I've posted which dealership once before by accident.
I'm not posting my revue of thier lack of performance, until I get my car back.

Thats total understandable. I looked a few post back and found the dealer, I was wondering if you were at the same dealer I am at. Hopefully these fuel pumps come in soon.
