Procede 2-step and Hard Limited not activating

I just installed the 2-step/NLS wiring kit and loaded 11-25 maps with proper firmware and I am using 5-32 software. When I input the values for these two limiters nothing happens. I put in 2000RPM as off and 1950 as on and it never limits. I have done this on both the hard limiter and the 2-step with no results. Yes, I did click the enable boxes. I must be missing something.

You do have the rev3 hardware and used pin 8 on the green connector?

I do have Rev 3 hardware. Why do you need to use pin 8 instead of 3? It is only a power supply.

Actually, it is not just that. It's the power supply to the coils and the relay is how the trick works - you cut power to the coils and RPMs fall

Now to get the hard limiter to work. Any ideas on that one?

That doesn't use the 2 step relay and even though I've configured it I haven't tested it.
How did you test it?
Also I suspect it might only work under load.

I set it at 2000 off and 1950 on and sat in the drive with clutch in and out and brought up rpm. gonna go around the block and see if it will work while rolling and under load.

It might require WOT as well so you might want to try that and raise the limit to something reasonable.

OK. I tried it. Looks like you just need to be moving. So all works. BUT I now I have a ton of SES codes. I just can't win.

11800, 11801, 11804, 10906, 10912, 10913, 10885, 12021, 11170, 12544. I think that is all of them. Most seam to be cam related. Seams odd.

Check the connections around the green connector, a loose/bent/broken one usually causes that.

Just clear your codes and try again. Using NLS/2-step will trigger those 1180x codes for ignition cut. Totally normal an harmless.

OK. Just reset the codes and went around the block. Now I have new codes. God damn. 10700, 10701 and 10702. I just replaced a coil, I hope I did not just fry two more. WTF am I doing wrong?

Those are misfire codes (several cylinders misfire, cylinder 1 misfire, cylinder 2 misfire). Did you feel the car misfire after you switched gears and engaged the clutch?

OK, I reset those and the car started and ran ok. So I know I did not blow the coils. But something still is not right. It did not just throw the code though, it went into limp mode.

Also, if you induce ignition cut (2step) for several seconds, it can eventually trigger misfire codes. You shouldn't really need to use it for more than 2-3 seconds to build boost off the line.

If misfire is persistent, clear codes and turn off NLS/2step and see if you can trigger it through normal driving. You cannot damage the coils by using NLS/2step.

I did not feel the misfire, no. FYI, plugs are new and I replaced them a week ago and have not had an issue till now. Only change is installing the 2-Step/NLS. I am not saying that unit has a problem, I am just trying to figure out what is going on. I looked over everything many times and nothing seams out of whack. I can pull it apart again I guess and look. But I would think that if there was something wrong with my install, the car would not run or give a code right away.

If you shift too slowly with the NLS, the ignition cuts will probably cause misfires too.

Do you still have the hard rev limit set at 2K? You might be hitting it too often?

Just reset again and went for a ride with NLS/2-step off and no codes. I did not even attempt to use those features last trip though and it still gave me the codes.

I just went around the block with normal driving to hit the misfire codes. Hard limit is set to 6700.
