Coding help!! 805, 818

I have the ebay cable, have tried 3 different lap tops and cant get it to communicate! im thinking it might be a bad cable or i need an adapter for an 02/07 build 335i.

Any one local that could HELP!

I,ve go lots of beer!!

You need to desolder pin 7+8 that is bridged because a lot of cables come like that. Drivers are all installed and port settings correct?

it could possibly he got the new software in the car and it will not connect.

I have the old software im in 818/805 805 - (LA/Sycamore) or in the 818 (Valley Circle/ Roscoe ish)

Nice!!!!!!! you have the software/lap top and ive got the cable, lets me up see if we could make it work on both cars.

I am game... my PC laptop is broken but i can bring my mac... its running multiple OS's on it... anything specific recommended?

Right now I am running:
OS X
Windows XP x64
and
Linux

If needed I can load it with anything recommended. Let me know so we can try it out i am sure we will be able to figure it out.
