e92 ,what visual differences between pre lci and lci

I can spot the differences between a e90 pre lci and lci , but not the e92 apart from rear lights, what else did they change? it must be more subtle than the e90, or am i missing something?

DRL = Daytime Running Lights, which in the case of the LCI are a much brighter and whiter/bluer light. On the pre-LCI, the DRL's are very much yellow.

LCI models have larger wing mirrors which are more rounded.

Non M Sport LCI has a chrome strip under the front bumper.

M Sport LCI has a slightly tweaked bodykit and the rear diffuser insert/valance is a high gloss dark grey, whereas on pre-LCI it was finely dimpled black plastic.

Easiest way to tell is to look at the front or rear lights. Pre-LCI rear lights have a clear strip running along the bottom of the unit which is not present on LCI (essentially all red, bar a tiny window for the reverse light). At the front end, pre-LCI headlights have a filament bulb for the indicator, whereas LCI has around a dozen small LED's there instead. Also, LCI headlights feature a strip or sash across the top of the unit.

Ah, daytime running lights, I'm upgrading mine to the group buy ones so that's them sorted!

ok...I'm gonna ask a stupid question...in the link above...which car is LCI and which is pre-LCI? And when did the LCI take place? I THINK the red car is LCI and it took place in 2011...correct? I'm currently looking at a 2009 E92 and it looks like the blue car.

Blue is pre LCI
Red is LCI

Noticed a couple of changes I hadn't been aware of e.g. back bumper and side skirts which I like.

Still not feeling the new headlights or front bumper tho

LCI took place around March/April 2010. Hence, there are some pre-LCI cars out there wearing a 10 plate.

Confusingly, the new i-drive system found it's way onto cars a few months before the LCI change, so it can't be assumed that the new system is a sign of an LCI car.

I've never been a huge fan of the front end and find that the headlights on pre and post LCI cars are not quite right, giving the whole front a bit of a weak appearance. Not so bad when the LCI DRL's are in use though.

Worth noting that LCI cars also got tweaked suspension. The ride on an LCI car is much improved and cars wearing run flat tyres are actually quite acceptable, even on 19" wheels.

My e92 was registered in jan 09 but has the new idrive. Also has a few other interior changes which appeared in LCI cars
