Hi
I'm looking for a DIY or if anyone knows if you can remove the trim from a non sport steering wheel trim. They are the small pieces with the buttons. I have searched loads on this site but all I can find is people changing there steering wheels or sport trim removal. Also of you could tell me how to get them off would be great! |

There really is no secret to removing the trim pieces, all you need to do is pull and pry everything really hard. I couldn't find a tutorial so I just dove in pulling and prying everything. There are no screws at all, only 2 clips holding the outer trim on. By prying I was able to undo 1 of them, but I just couldn't get the other to unclip. So I just got a couple fingers under it and pulled as hard as I could. It came off and 2 tiny plastic pieces went flying, be sure to not lose those. View post on imgur.com After you get the outer trim part off there is another plastic piece underneath, held in by these foam nubs. Again, just pull and pry the sh*t out of it and you'll get it off eventually. When putting everything back on be sure to line up the tiny plastic pieces, they are necessary for the buttons to work properly. |

Old thread revival, but is there any more details/help for getting this done?
Don't want to take off the whole wheel, and the previous description sounds like I could potentially break it. |
