What could cause brakes to make a squeaking noise?
I changed both front and rear brake pads about a month ago, and recently i've been noticing a loud squeak whenever i'm braking. it's really annoying and i know it's not from the pads cause they're new. so what could it be? and what can i do about it?
thanks

I had something similar to this; my car wheel would squeak at low speeds (and when I was braking). It turned out that the dealership installed the brake sensor incorrectly, and as a result the sounds was the sensor 'rubbing' (I'm guessing against the rotor). Took my car back in and they fixed it free of charge.
Hope this helps.. |

Did you put a thin film of copper grease on the rear of the pads (the parts that touch the calliper and pistons...)?
But, as said above, maybe the wear sensors incorrectly fitted!? |
