looking for places that do oem windshield replacement

I went to local BMW & they don't deal with insurance directly. I'll have to pay for it then work it out with insurance.

I'm looking for a place that'll deal with insurance directly, I know there are places like apple autoglasses that deal with insurance directly. But can they get 100% original/oem windshields? that I don't know.

I had an aftermarket windshield on my previous car before.. they were garbage, it looked like sandpaper after 10000km. I don't want to make this mistake again.

I use Lebeau / SpeedyGlass all the time.

Be clear about what you need and that you wont accept 3rd party parts and they'll hook you up.

Bimmersport came in here once and quoted something surprising for OEM glass replacement. Something like 500?

In BC, you have to request that the windshield come from BMW otherwise they will source it from the manufacturer (ie. Pilkington). Only difference is you wont have a BMW logo on it. I had to make speedyglass get it from bmw since i wanted the logo in the corner, took a couple extra weeks though...

also, you need to have oem winshield coverage in order for them to get it from the dealer.

Reason you WANT the logo on the windshield is if your car is leased and you return it with the aftermarket windshield you'll end up paying for its replacement as its not OEM...if your car isn't a lease then no need to worry about the bmw logo on it...its the same windshield anyway

The aftermarket windshields don't fit. I had one installed, then had to have it replaced a week later with the OEM. Insurance paid for everything.
