Retrofit TCU to 07 E90

Hi guys,

So the mod bug has bitten me and I am starting to do a TCU(bluetooth) retrofit to my 07 E90. My car just came barebones with no iDrive.

I am following this guide
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122545

Where did you guys do the coding part? Any shop you recommend going to?

it is a VO code i believe so you need to find someone comfortable with VO coding

onebadmofo did mine, you have to add SA605 and SA639 to VO.

Sent a PM to BKR and he replied back.

He's in last phase of his retrofit and is having some issues with microphone. No coding yet.

You also needed FZD right? That's what got the mic working.

I had mic issues too and most of the time they just needed to be rewired behind

the glove box.

Just read his thread and his car has iDrive while mine didn't so I never had an existing mic and the new one I installed didn't work so had to re-wire it behind the glove box.

Has he tried just coding in the bluetooth and see if the existing mic works or not? My mic work for both voice commands and calls so I don't see a reason why his wouldn't.

I'm really hoping this is the case. I really need to get my MOST wiring done and get this coding wrapped up. It's so frustrating that this project has dragged on as long as it has. I'm *thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis* close to being done. Argh!
