Just get a straight pipe made. Shouldn't be more than a few hundred.

A muffler muffles sound, lowers the decibels. Any muffler setup will be quieter than a straight pipe.

Check out the recent thread where yo.high.red.devil installed the detailaddict catless resonator-less custom system. Seems quite loud and dyno proven gains.

The straight pipe for me sounded nice but was very weak till like 2.5k RPM.
Theres really nothing louder then muffler delete res delete secondary cat delete?

True straight pipe would be castles headers all the way back. Literally a straight pipe with no blockage at all. Would be super loud. I assume you still had stock headers with primary cats when you had a "straight pipe"

You cant get louder than straight pipes. you cant put a muffler on that will ADD sound. Putting on a set of headers and removing the rest of the exhaust after the header would be as loud as you could get. AND IM SURE IT WILL SOUND AWFUL. or install electric cut outs after the exhaust manifolds but once again read what i wrote in caps

When I had my 328 I had muffler delete which sounded great, but also tried resonator delete, which equals pretty much straight pipe after the cat. It was obnoxious and I fixed it the next day.

Just run headers only with little pipes that come out of the fenders as an exahsut pipe. It'll be louder than a v10 for sure. But uglier than medusa... or if you want louder.. cut the pipes off the your cat converters on the headers and run it. But seriously, a full straight pipe from block back will be loud as shit. Don't add anything to the headers

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

Depends where you get it and the piping used. I got my res + muff delete for $160 so with cats it cant be that much more maybe $200+ from where I got it.

you want LOUD? ... take off the following:

Primary Catalytic Coverters (in the headers; either cut them out and weld in straight pipe or purchase MMW Headers)
Secondary Catalytic Converters (right behind the headers - relatively small in size)
Resonator (for a 325, 328, or 330, it's the casing that has dual exhaust INPUT and single exhaust OUTPUT)
Muffler(s) (it's the big fat heavy thing directly behind your rear bumper - this would also be a ~50lbs weight reduction)

take those off and you're exhaust will probably be UNBEARABLE and cops will be pulling you over every time they hear you....

no need to spend thou$ands on an aftermarket exhaust to make it loud... all of these deletes will probably cost you $400 or less (depending on quality and if you put nice looking tips on or not)
