3.3RS Dyno Run

I thought I would share this with you guys as I truly love this car and this video. This is Jack's (Shop Foreman/Lead Fabricator at EFI Logics) Subaru 3.3RS. It's a 6 cylinder EG33 NA motor sourced from a Subaru SVX. He built this monster from the ground up and uses it to compete in NASA ST-2 class. Enjoy...

There is probably more we are missing, but that is the most of it. The car was tuned today, on our Mustang Dyno, and produced a very impressive 320whp and 276wtq @ 8200rpm, SAE corrected. Dyno Graph (we are working on the bug with it going off the chart)."

Does anyone know why the holes are drilled out from the bumper? is it to save weight?

It's to reduce aerodynamic drag. Air gets trapped within the lip of the rear bumper and the holes provide an exit for the air.

Awsome to see something different in the Subaru community. I bet this thing rips. This is what subaru's should be used for...I've been seeing A LOT of "stanced" Subys latley, and this is refreshing. Thanks for sharing!

So that is why I see Hondas with that shit. Why not just make a valence diffuser and solve that problem and get better airflow? Is that within SCCA specs or whatever?
