Turbo Cool Down.. is it necessary
I know on my Evo i had a HKS Turbo Timer which ran the engine for a min or 2 and then shut it off automatically. I did this so that if i ran the car hard, it would circulate the oil until the turbos cooled down preventing the oil from cooking in the turbos and diminishing their life..
Anyone know about this turbo engine design if it runs oil after the car has been shut off or if it is necessary to give the car a min or 2 before shutting off after running her hard? |

answer is no though you do not need to let the car cool down...there is a pump that runs after the car is shut off |

In this case the turbo is both water and oil cooled. The water pump is electric and does run after the car is shut down thus there is no need for any special turbo cool down.
