Good "generalist" shop in Northern California?

Hi there,

Looking for some recos on some good "generalist" shops in the SF bay area that can do basic mod installs for parts I either source myself or would ideally buy offline. Basic mods would be things like JB4 or some other tune, intake, blacklines, wheels and other basic bolt-ons that most people would DIY. Don't have too much time because of work or garage space to do these basic things so was wondering if there is a mechanic/shop that people tend go to for these items. Would ideally like to actually purchase the parts offline from the shop/vendor to save hassle on shipping (and support local vendors , but can source parts myself and just use installation services if need be. The car would be an E90 335i 2007.

Any recommendations in the Bay Area (even from ~Sac, through east bay and down to san jose/silicon valley) would be great. I know there's a list of norcal auto shops on this forum, but I'm looking moreso to field recommendations from the community as opposed to a list/database of shops.

Thanks!

I'm sure you can DIY or find help for a JB4, intake and blacklines. I did all those when I first got mine, and I was pretty clueless about BMW. Requires nothing more than a few hand tools. Wheels typically require balancing, but you could install them if you have a jack stand and tools.

JGMODS can hook you up with the parts and a local installer, though.
