E90 passenger window rattle
325i 2010. I have an annoying rattle like a persistent tapping, coming from front passenger seat door window area. Seems to be worse in warm weather and pressing on window whilst it's doing it stops it. Also dropping window even by 3 or 4 cms also stops it. Tried Gummi Pfledge, had a good search but nothing apparent. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, it's a PITA to track down. Atleast it's your passenger side, mine was on the drivers side and even with the music all the way up it annoyed the ever living crap out of me.
I used Petrolum Jelly on all the rubber door seals, all 4 doors. The strips on the door, and the strips on the chassis. I also lubed up the seal at the top of the door. It's a little rubber strip with some felt on it. That made most of my noises go away. A little over a year since I did that and I don't have any sounds to date. |
