If durability is in question, maybe top coat of Matte Acrylic Crystal Clear spray will prolong any possible peeling or flaking from everyday use.

plastidip is durable as fcuk... a lot of people use it on their grillz and it holds up great.

just make sure your masking job is good and it should come out nicely! I did my trim and my antenna. Not the bottom chrome piece though.

How long does the plastic dip hold up on the trim?

I painted my trim, but if I could redo it I would plastidip it as my grills are holding up better than the trim.
