E92 M3: VF engineerings new 700hp BABY
Gentlemen.... and Gentle... erm.... ladies...
Just came accross this the other day, and well I thought I would share. What do you guys think? Worth it? Would you do it? Or is this just mindless American Hot Rodery which does belong on these here shores..... Comments welcome Good or Bad.... |

Nice.
I'd be worried about the DCT box tho. Can't handle big torque very well...

Haven't watched it, but does it have a new gearbox a drive train too? Standard one won't last! |

But his is manual, with a heavy duty clutch they are pretty solid. Plus the big single produces lower torque than upgraded twins like RBs. DCT isn't strong enough for these numbers and the clutches can't be upgraded easily. Manual is the way to go if you want big hp in this platform..

G-Power have been supercharging the M3 for a while now.
Seems like it retains the linear power delivery of the original but as the guy said, brings the power of the car up to match the chassis. Not sure why they went and put a rollcage in the back, looks a bit barry. |

The reason the VF Supercharged car is so appealing is that it runs such boost, 5-6psi for around 600hp+ Which does of course stress the internals but at a much lower rate. |

Personally i'd much rather drop the E60 M5's V10 in the car like Manhart racing did - tuned to 550hp it is perfect. Love the fact they put the engine into a E91 conversion M3 as well - no supercharger just 550hp from a NA M power V10....pure class!
