How to adjust headlight angle?
Does anyone know?
I looked around the headlight housing but I don't see any screws that I can adjust. I'm finding that the E90's xenon headlight angle is set just a little bit too low for me, unlike my previous E46's xenons which were just right. At regular highway speeds, I find that I'm almost outrunning the beam of illumination, but the high beam would be too blinding for the oncoming traffic. Thanks in advance!

I'm not aware that you can adjust the level. They adjust automatically - I often see the level moving when I first turn on the lights

Yep, I know of the auto-levelling feature. I often see it working when the road gradient changes suddenly.
But on level ground, I still find it shining a wee bit lower than my previous E46. Hmmm, E90fleet would know!

visor, thats EXACTLY how I felt also.
I think its aimed a bit too low. At least for my taste that is. While I understand that higher aim would blind on-coming traffic, i think bmw over-done it. I think the visibility could be a lot better if you aim it just a little higher.

However, I don't believe that the lights can be adjusted at all. OT, A4's Bi-xenons do aim a little higher and light up the road a bit farther. The E90 has better high-beams though, because it uses also the inner H7 bulbs to light up the road. |

Xenon lights can be adjust manual as well.Automatic adjustment just leveling light on the road. Have litle screw on every light on the top, with original BMW screwdriver, clock wise-down,anticlock wise-up.

I have the regular xenons, and I noticed at the carwash when they turned on that they move forwards/backwards. Anyone know why? It's like they're focussing or something.

I adjusted mine last week.... pop the hood and you'll see the (+) screw that you can adjust..... look around the back of the head light and it's right on top and position at a slight angle, you can't miss it!!!!

Since the light angle can be control automatically by the onboard computer, I guess it might be adjusted by software.

I wonder if they are upgraded units from the ones in the E46...seems to me like I can see them articulate left and right alot more than in the E46. Also, I've already gotten alot of irate drivers in the oncoming lanes flash their brights at me, which almost never happened with the E46. Any thoughts?

Thanx GTS 330 and E90fleet!
I thought that might be the correct screw, but I didn't want to break anything... I want to aim it just a little bit higher. I'll be mindful of oncoming traffic that I won't aim too high.
