A question for first time detailing

Hi guys,

After reading this forums, I decide to give a try for my first detailing so I bought these:

Riccardo Clay Blue
Chemical Guys Glossworkz Glaze
Chemical Guys FS Factory Sealant
Chemical Guys Extreme All-In-One Polish
Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect
Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam 1gal
Chemical Guys Luber ClayBlock

I'm wondering if I miss something else.

Thanks,

In terms of products, you seem to have one of everything. Did you happen to buy 2 clay bars?

Besides that, make sure you have the proper washing and drying media, some microfiber detailing towels, and good applicators/polishing applicators (if you don't have a machine polisher)

In the future, if you are bitten by the detailing bug, be aware that your list of detailing supplies will blow up to huge proportions :P

That should be fine for one car.

I'd also recommend you buy 3 boxes of Riccardo yellow clay and promptly mail them to me across from Windsor. Doing so will please the detailing gods, giving you a better result. I promise

Congrats on getting interested in taking better care of your vehicle. Each step you take will make a difference in the immediate result you achieve in the end, as well as long term as your car holds up better than the majority of what you see everyday on the road.
I agree with Kjang in that you should have a decent amount of quality microfiber towels as well. Their structure makes them 8x more fine than silk, so they're super soft and won't harm your paint (as long as you take care of them and don't drop them on the ground / contaminate them), and because the material is so fine, it does a great job of removing product residue from your paint with less effort than say a cotton towel. That's the reason you'll see and hear so much about good microfiber towels.

Along with your wheel cleaner, make sure you have the right brushes to clean your wheel faces and the inside of the wheel barrels - it'll make it easier, quicker, and will yield better results.

If you have additional questions, post up and I'm sure a fellow enthusiast will try to give you good advice in no time
